WHO WE ARE

We’re a team of photographers, filmmakers, writers, and digital creatives who are driven to seek out and share compelling stories.

The idea for Seacat was born from the desire to tell a more complete story. In the early 2000s the story of hunting looked one dimensional. It was a snapshot of someone sitting next to their trophy harvest. There was no process, only an ending. Growing up an avid hunter in Montana, Mark had stories. The effort, the failures, the friendships, and new places ventured. There was so much to tell about hunting beyond the final shot. Why do people hunt? How do they hunt? What is their background? What is their story? There are a thousand different answers to these questions and more. Seacat set out to tell these stories about hunting and hunters and the motivations behind them.

Through documentary style photography, Seacat was able to paint a different picture. There are many beautiful accounts of hunting experiences - stories that involve family, traditions, conservation, endangered places, and inspired people. There are also brands and products that are critical to those experiences. Products that make them possible and brands that promote wild places, conservation, and ethical practices.

Seacat began to pair stories and brands. In order to expand on the narrative, it needed to be heard. Brands like Mystery Ranch, Gore-Tex, Sitka Gear, and Yeti were essential in this process. We worked closely with these brands to pioneer new images of hunting and hunters and rebuild the incomplete hunting story.

While we continue to work closely with brands within the hunting industry, our reach has grown into all markets, including agriculture brands, spirits, conservation groups, nonprofit organizations, global businesses and small businesses. At the end of the day, we’re passionate about connecting with great people, innovative ideas, and brands that are making a difference.
